Notice January 2024.

I have a question for listeners of the Prog Rock Machine online (worldwide), radio show (with over 1200 listeners per day). I program 3 different artist/shows, in rotation per day, same 3 shows per week as per my program (see below)- 6 hours per day. For the rest of the time (18 hours per day) I program up to 700 tracks, dispersed across the week (usually each block is repeated 2/3 times over the 7 days) of various artists from prog/rock and other genres.

My question is; recently I used up most of the space of the random tracks with all of Steely Dan’s catalogue as well as Donald Fagan and Walter Becker’s Solos albums.

Response was good in terms of stats for listeners – both number and duration of listening time (as well as for the 3 shows that week).

Now I am wondering if I did a week of three shows – as always) – and a week of – say – all of ELP’s catalogue and various solo works / then a week of all of Yes’s catalogue (and solos works), then a week of Jethro Tull catalogue and solo work and then a week of Pink Floyd full catalogue and solo works.

Would seven days straight of ELP, Yes, Tull and Floyd be too much – would you my listener like this or is it a concept one bridge too far? Responses welcome below in this thread – thanks – Rael.
